NYC Here We Come!

Hello again! We arrived at Hazlet, NJ to find a new way to make left turns. Have you heard the expression - Go north to go south? Well, in Allentown, PA and Hazelet, NJ you go right to turn left. Boy, did I really mess up. We had to go a few blocks out of our way to find another left turn opportunity.

Tuesday
Up Early! After breakfast we walked from the hotel to the New Jersey Transit (NJT) depot, about .4 of a mile. There was a very large parking lot for the commuters. It would be a one hour ride. We asked a woman standing on the platform how to get tickets to NYC. She said, "NO TIME, get on the train now!" We stepped on the train, sat on the first seat (side riding seat) and the train started. The conductor stepped in the door and asked, "Where are your tickets?" TICKETS! What tickets? We did not know how or where to buy our tickets. He pulled his ticket pad out and started punching codes. We found out later he could charge us a fee for boarding the train without tickets -but he did not! Praise The Lord! for favor with the conductor. If we had not boarded when we did we would have to wait another hour for the next train.
Next stop - New York Penn station! No! No! No! Not Newark Penn Station - NEW YORK PENN STATION!!!
